Antique Victorian Porcelain Brooch. This is a real beauty and Its quite heavy measuring approx. 2 1/2" in diameter. The center has a large round piece of porcelain hand painted with a European old world lovers courting scene. It's not a decal. Open backed with the old style pin fastener. Frame is very decorative with repoussee stamped brass metal work, florals, vines and fancy decorations a Laurel wreath design. Painted in a purple blue enamel. Very good condition either late Victorian or Art Nouveau. This is a rare highly collectible piece looks like it should be in a museum. Some discoloration to the metal on the back otherwise OK no verdigris or oxidation. Granny chic, antique, heirloom, museum, traditional, artist, hand painted, brooch.
