Brown Shell Crochet Purse Bag Celluloid Trim Chain Strap Lined Vintage 1930s offered by brightgemstreasures. Really nice oldie. An original crocheted brown shell pattern purse or bag. Sometimes called "gimp". Its framed with yellow celluloid and a chain strap in the same material as the frame. Lined with brown material. All hand crafted. No stains or tears. It measures approx. 10" X 7". Strap is 5 inches. Very good condition. Dates to the 1930s-40s art deco period. Boho, hippie style.
